Get yourself a trading system, the easy way

Two ways of getting yourself a forex trading system.

Knowing that a trading plan and a trading strategy is the bread and butter of forex trading, everyone is naturally looking forward for the moment when they will have one and will test it and put it to work for them. Those are really exciting moments indeed, watching the chart evolves telling you how much you win... or lose. However, as mentioned in my first article about foreign exchange, there is a long way to this point. I’ve heard about people spending as much as 18 months to learn the forex business. That’s a lot of time and you need a lot of determination. Well, this is one way to get your trading strategy ready, but there is also another one which doesn’t require so much time. Now you shouldn’t quit your learning process just because you have a trading system. It doesn’t work this way, but you do manage to have a quicker start. This fast way of getting yourself a forex trading system is about buying someone else’s system. I think many have heard about this and I know many have done this. I think it is a great option, of course if you do it right. Following I will show you the right way of doing this and a few trading strategies which you can chose from.

When purchasing a forex system always look for...

First you must look for heavily reviewed ones. Consumer opinion is a great and powerful way to know a product. There are also experts’ reviews that can be checked for ensuring the quality of the product. When I try to identify a good trading system by reading reviews, I always watch out for negative reviews especially. If that trading strategy receives more negative reviews it is a good chance not to worth the money. The reason of the negative review is equally as important or maybe more. This is the case with consumer reviews. You see, if someone can’t or doesn’t understand how to use something he will never say that he was wrong. Instead he will say that the product quality is poor. I will explain later why this is particularly true with forex trading systems.

When purchasing someone else’s trading system try to find out as much as possible about that system in terms of technical features. For what time frames it is designed for? What indicators does it use to provide trading signals? With what currency pairs does it work best? There are a few things about forex trading systems that you must learn before purchasing one. For example, if you are the kind of person who doesn’t stand to wait to much, than a swing trading system (it means having your trades open for more than one day) probably won’t work for you. If this is the case I think what you would best relate to and have good results with, would be an intraday trading strategy (it means closing all the trades at the end of the day) or even a scalping system (it stands for having trades that are no longer than a few minutes or even seconds). You have many technical issues you must learn about in order to know how to choose the best trading system for you. Still these are general things that are easy to understand and don’t require as much time as it would building your own trading system from scratch. Another big plus when purchasing a trading system is that most likely it will lack errors and trading mistakes which a brand new system designed by yourself will certainly be full of. Usually these trading systems are tested thoroughly and all the wrong signals and errors were engineered out of the system.
As you may see, the pitfall of purchasing a trading system is that it might not fit your trading personality. The advantage is that you will start trading faster instead of learning everything from the beginning. So, if you are a person who doesn’t like to wait, and you can easily adapt almost any situation, then you would probably do really well with a purchased trading system.
